CNC Lathe Programmer

  • Client is a precision manufacturing company in La Verne
  • Position is Temp-to-Hire
  • Shift is Monday – Friday from 6:00am – 2:30pm
  • Salary is $26 – $32/hour (DOE)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes machines
  • Write programs and modify existing ones for increased efficiency
  • Review 3-D CAD design blueprints
  • Calculate programming, including where materials should be cut
  • Translate instructions into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) program
  • Check completed programs
  • Determine the sequence of operations in a program
  • Evaluate all completed designs to validate their functions and ensure they successfully reduce time and money for the client
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ideal candidates should possess the following skills/qualifications demonstrated through previous work experience:

  • MUST have experience programming dual spindle twin turret lathes machines
  • 3+ years of programing experience preferred
  • Must be able to program, set up, and operate CNC lathes machines
  • Must know how to read and understand blueprints
  • Strong mathematical skills (basic math, algebra, etc.)
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of a variety of measuring tools for part/material inspection

Work environment: While performing duties the employee is frequently exposed to oils or airborne particles, moving machinery and machine noises.
