Cost Estimator

  • Client is a manufacturing company in City of Industry
  • Position is Direct Hire
  • Shift is Monday – Friday from 7:00am – 3:30pm
  • Salary is $20 – $22/hour (Depending on experience)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide comprehensive estimates based on material & labor costs of each trailer.
  • Process quote requests from the Sales Department which are tailored to customer’s specifications.
  • Compile and verify material cost, weight, and labor.
  • Review Bills of Material and drawing packages.
  • Consult with other departments, including Sales, Drafting, Order Processing, Production, and Purchasing.
  • Complete quotes and present them to the Sales Department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ideal candidates should possess the following skills/qualifications demonstrated through previous work experience:

  • 2 years of office/administrative experience.
  • Prior costing experience for a manufacturing company is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, etc.).
  • Ability to read drawings/blueprints.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must possess analytical skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
