Customer Service/Order Desk

Client is a manufacturing company located in Azusa
Position is Temp-to-Hire
Shift is Full-Time/Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm
Salary is $16-$18/hr

Job Description:

Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Handling heavy phone usage; transferring and responding to incoming calls and orders correctly
  • Responsible for facilitation of the order desk, taking customer orders while displaying excellent customer service
  • Responsible for the process of managing the order cycle (moving the quote to order to invoice) and processing orders in a timely and accurate manner
  • Order follow up, updating customers with delivery dates, updating database with all info and receive/ship order within database
  • Monitor order status, communicating any issues to customers.
  • Accurate input of accounting information into Peachtree software program
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Ideal candidates should possess the following skills/qualifications demonstrated through previous work experience:

  • Must have the ability to be trained and receive instruction well; able to learn navigation of Peachtree software
  • Office Administration experience; at least two years’ experience as a receptionist, administrative assistant, data entry specialist or other related experience
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel software skills
  • Accounting/Peachtree experience preferred
  • Order entry experience preferred, must have strong data entry skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, customer service oriented
  • Strong attention-to-detail, organizational skills, and takes initiative on projects
