Project Administrator (Engineering Dept.)

  • Client is a water utility company in El Monte
  • Position is Temp-to-Hire
  • Shift is Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm
  • Salary is $24.18/hour

Job Description:
Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Review and process vendor invoices for approval in DocLink system
  • Prepare and price work orders for labor and materials
  • Check labor and materials for jobs and prepare authorization to bill forms for payments to vendors
  • Close out jobs with verification of total costs attributed to work, verify job cost and material utilization by detailed review of as-build drawings
  • Assist in the preparation of agreements and contracts
  • Prepare water service agreements
  • Prepare and process documents related to job closing
  • Review as-built plans to check quantities of pipe construction materials
  • File and maintain files and filing systems in good order
  • Review and process progress payments
  • Prepare work-in-progress reports
  • Prepare variety of documents, tables, and reports
  • Other tasks and duties as required.
  • Other tasks/duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
Ideal candidates should possess the following skills/qualifications demonstrated through previous work experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Completion of college level accounting courses or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of five years in accounting/administration experience desired
  • Must have valid CA driver license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to type 50 WPM
  • Strong attention to detail and data entry skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work well with others and communicate effectively
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical activities using feet, legs, hands, and arms, and which include use of keyboard, multiline telephone/switchboard, walk, sit, bend, stoop, climb stairs, lift up to 15 lbs., reach, grasp, push and pull.
