Client: Precision Manufacturing Company
Location: La Verne
Position: Temp-to-Hire
Shift: Monday – Friday from 2:00pm – 10:00pm
Salary: $20- $25/hour (Depending on experience)
Job Description:
Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Set up, operate, and program CNC mills and/or lathes machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machining procedures.
- Inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers.
- Adjust machine settings to ensure product accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Complete daily documentation.
- Assist and train other machinists as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ideal candidates should possess the following skills/qualifications demonstrated through previous work experience:
- At least 3 years of CNC machining experience required.
- Programming experience highly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Knowledge of measuring tools (calipers, indicators, and the like) required.
- Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) for quality control.
- Strong mathematical skills (basic math, algebra, etc.) required.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Forklift operation experience preferred.
