Position Type: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday – Thursday from 5:00am – 3:30pm
Pay Rate: $25 – $28/hour (Depending on experience)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes to machine precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Understand and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Read, understand, and make adjustments to G-Code and M-Code
- Perform tool changes, offsets, adjustments, and basic program edits as required.
- Inspect finished and in-process components using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Verify component dimensions and tolerances to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Identify and correct machining issues related to tooling, feeds and speeds, offsets, and machine setup.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow company quality, safety, and production procedures.
- Work collaboratively with machinists, programmers, quality personnel, and other members of the manufacturing team.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ideal candidates should possess the following skills/qualifications demonstrated through previous work experience:
- At least two years of experience as a CNC Lathe Operator/CNC Lathe Set-Up
- Experience machining precision components to close tolerances.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Working knowledge of G-Codes and M-Codes.
- Knowledge of GD&T and its application to precision machining.
- Proficiency using precision measuring and inspection equipment, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
- Ability to troubleshoot machining and setup issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
